For incoming university students, the role of the personal statement in their university application cannot be ignored. That is why it is of utmost importance for them to write a very good personal statement. One of the ways that they can get personal statement help is by using an example of personal statement. Preferably, a good example of personal statement would be one whose writer also applies for the same university and degree programme as the student who is using it.

A personal statement is just the first formal essay that an aspiring university student will write in the course of completing his or her studies. Depending on a student's chosen degree programme, he or she will be assigned to write academic essays such as Religion essay, Business essays, Politics essays, English Literature essays, Finance essays, and many other types of essays. A personal statement example is good to be used as a guide to the student in completing his or her own personal statement writing. However, take note of the following important considerations in using a example of personal statement:

  • While there is no definite structure that you can follow down to its little details, you can emulate how the content is arranged to create the personal statement's own unique structure.

  • You may also observe the writing style used by the author as well as in how the language is used to convey ideas.

  • Do not attempt to copy entire sections of another student's personal statement. Having finished secondary school already, you should know that plagiarism is one of the worst things you can do as a student. You may use example of personal statement as an inspiration that you too can create your own well-written piece, but remember that the actual content that should reflect in your final draft must be all original.
