Birdland welcomes Monty Alexander. The acclaimed pianist blends American styles with the musical legacy of his native Jamaica, drawing on jazz, ska, big band, swing and reggae influences. He's worked with a diverse range of artists, from Frank Sinatra and Sonny Rollins to Quincy Jones and Robbie Shakespeare. He also leads a variety of ensembles.
