Description

Award winning Actor Boris Kazinets celebrates 60 years of his acting career with the performance of the one man show "Happiness is Evasive…". Boris Kazinets has participated in many performances in different theaters throughout Russia and worked for 25 years at the Tbilisi Russian Drama Theater named after Griboedov. His one man show is based on "The Story of Red-headed Mottele" by Joseph Utkin as well as on the poetry of Tixon Vladi, Osip Mandel’shtam, Isaac Babel, Oleg Levitskii and Aleksandr Tvardovsky. In a bold continuation of an unfinished story, Boris Kazinets tells the tale of Motele through 20th century history, taking him from the shtetl where Utkin left off to the Gulag and through World War II until he reaches the shores of America and settles in New York. Presented in Russian.
