DESCRIPTION:to search for his family stuck at the very epicenter of the earthquake.
Once there, Gor rushes through what’s left from the town in search of his small house. On his way, he meets various characters, each of them with his or her personal tragedy and challenge. The locals strive to find their loved ones – alive or dead, where dead is almost as good as alive because it means that people can get a proper burial. Medics try to help those who survived, working day and night despite the shortage of the medicine and performing surgeries with the supply on hand. Soldiers and volunteers risk their lives to clear the debris. City officials desperately try to restore law and order in the destroyed city.

Премьера фильма "Спитак"  состоится 18 ноября в 19.00  в JCC Manhattan в Нью-Йорке. Фильм представят режиссер Александра Котт, продюсер Елена Гликман и актриса  Анна Цуканова-Котт. 
Фильм выдвинут Арменией на премию «Оскар» в номинации «Лучший фильм на иностранном языке».
Фильм рассказывает о разрушительном и самом многочисленном по числу жертв землетрясении, случившемся на территории Армении 7 декабря 1988 года.
Фильм «Спитак» — это история Гора, который, покинув Армению в поисках лучшей жизни, возвращается обратно после землетрясения, чтобы найти свой дом. Свою семью. Но уже поздно. Все разрушено стихией. И ему приходится заново учиться любить то, что он разрушил сам.
