The workshop provides tips based on the career counselor´s experience helping mature workers get job ready and find employment. You will learn how to perfect skills used by younger workers to become competitive in your job search. Maximize your job search plan using job postings, networking, on-the-job training, and volunteering.   Teresa San Roman is a Career Counselor at The WorkPlace. She manages the MaturityWorks Program for unemployed workers 55+. Teresa has over 15 years of experience working for Foundations such as AARP, Ford, McArthur and Gates, helping individuals build skills and get jobs. Teresa has helped many mature workers get employment after they participate in a training and job search program to re-enter the workplace. 
 
Marzena is a career coach and a learning and development professional who as NYPL’s Career Services Manager creates programs and services for job seekers. Marzena earned two masters degrees in `Information Management and Foreign Language Teaching (she speaks, German, Polish and Russian fluently), which made her uniquely skilled in providing diverse learners with life-long learning and career development strategies. She holds coaching, leadership development, and training management certificates. Her special interests and strengths are: career and personal development, information literacy, and leadership development.
