SUMMARY:The Embodied Narrative “Moving out of the past into the present”

We each can carry a variety of narratives/emotional stories, some of which often run our lives with an adverse negative effect. In this daylong retreat we will unfold and begin to dis-assemble the parts of our story that are not useful (and not us) and yet we cling to them because we feel may lost without them.
In this workshop Perry & Rik will offer various exercises and teachings that enables attendees to feel and see more clearly the benefit of releasing old painful worn-out narratives we say about ourselves and move forward into new possibilities of calm and joy.

The daylong workshop is offered on a dana/donation basis. No one turned away due to lack of funds. Suggested donation $30-$60. Mindfulness Care Center programs are for everyone to gain new insights into life, themselves and inner healing. 
Please bring a lunch or there are lot's of nice restaurants in the Upper Polk area.

Facilitators: Rik Center is cofounder of the Mindfulness Care Center. He's a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and SEP/Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Rik has a private practice supporting people around unresolved anxieties, PTSD and a variety of emotional, physical and sexual abuses. He has served as an Buddhist/Interfaith Chaplain at Sand Francisco General and CPMC Hospitals and has worked with many people and families dealing with illnesses, accidents, people needing transplants and those moving towards death. He’s a member of USABP, United States Association Of Body Psychotherapy. 
Perry Lisker is a JD, MSW and LCSW/Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He was affiliated with California Pacific Medical Center where he provided crisis intervention and support counseling for implementation and coordination of discharge plans for patients. He also worked with cases involving child abuse, elder abuse, sexual assault, fetal demise, substance abuse, domestic violence and other urgent psychosocial issues.

Parking: There is all day indoor parking available 3.5 blocks away on Polk Street between Pacific and Jackson.
