DESCRIPTION:some of the best Klezmer musicians and teachers in the United States today. Through UClezLA we bring musicians and music lovers of all ages the chance to play and dance to Klezmer music and learn about Yiddish culture in a fun and interactive environment. In addition to the music and dance workshops led by outstanding musicians, other workshops have participants explore Yiddish songs and poetry with Yiddishist and UCLA Professor Miri Koral, while still others delve into the historical development of Jewish folk music in America with UCLA scholar and Professor, Mark Kligman.Plan on staying for the Klezmer Dance Party in the late afternoon!
