LOCATION: 2041 Larkin Street in SF (between Vallejo & Broadway) on Russian Hill, facilitated through the Mindfulness Care Center.
The Mindfulness Care Center was recognized by San Francisco Magazine and Voted The Best Of 2018 in "Mindfulness and Meditation."
Participants learn about habituated reactions to stress related anxieties and how to change their response:1. Increase your ability to cope with stressful situations, anxiety and improve self-esteem.2. Bring awareness, thoughts, emotions and our nervous system into alignment.3. Learn mind/body awareness techniques.4. Develop a mindfulness meditation practice.5. Cope better with illness, chronic pain and decrease physical & emotional/psychological symptoms.

Areas of difficulty we may notice: Depression, Irritability, Worry/Grief , Panic, Chronic Pain, Stress, Frustration, Burnout, Anxiousness, Headaches/Migraines, Fatigue, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Psoriasis, Job and/or Family Stress, Fibromyalgia, Sleep Disturbances, inability to deal with illness and other constant stressors.
The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course was featured on the Bill Moyers' special, "Healing And The Mind." The course is designed around the methods taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Rik Center's mindfulness and trauma background.

COURSE FEE $450: $400 class fee + 50.00 for class materials. Includes workbook, two mindfulness meditations to practice with and copy of the book “Full Catastrophe Living” by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Full and partial Scholarships available for approved applicants.
Facilitator: Rik Center is Cofounder of the MCC/Mindfulness Care Center. Rik is a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, Certified SEP/Somatic Experiencing Stress and Trauma Counselor/Practitioner and has served as a Buddhist/Interfaith Chaplain at San Francisco General and CPMC Hospitals. He is a member of the USABP/United States Association Of Body Psychotherapy. Rik has a private practice working one-on-one with his clients that focuses on healing high levels of unresolved traumatic anxiety and PTSD along with offering grief and spiritual counseling. He began a meditation practice in the late 80's and leads a weekly Tuesday Evening Meditation Class. 
The MCC/Mindfulness Care Center is a 501(3)(c) charitable organization.
If interested in Continuing Education Units/ CEU’s:The MCC/Mindfulness Care Center is approved by CAMFT/California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for the MBSR/Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Program. The MCC/Mindfulness Care Center maintains responsibility for the this program/course and its content.
This Course meets the qualifications for 24 hours of continuing education credit for licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC), and Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEP) as required by CAMFT/California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Mindfulness Care Center Provider #128625. There is a $30 Certificate Fee required. Course must be fully completed in-order to receive full CEU credits. CEU Certificates will be awarded after completion of the aforementioned program. Upon verification of program completion, certificate will be presented or emailed to recipient. Any grievance of attendee seeking accreditation must be received in writing and MCC will respond within a reasonable, ethical and timely manner.

Refund/Cancellation Policy:The MCC/Mindfulness Care Center must receive refund request and cancellation 4-days prior prior to the beginning of the course/program for the entire program fee to be refunded. There is a $50 non-refundable fee if registration is cancelled after 4 days prior to the class beginning. Program fee is non-refundable if the program is dropped after the 2nd week of class. If the class is dropped within the 2nd week, refunds are prorated by week along with a $50 non-refundable fee.
