ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
YAEGY PARK, violin
Yaegy won her first violin competition at the age of 3.  In 2015, she was named a Young Arts Winner and a semifinalist of the Presidential Scholars. Her notable achievements include prizes in the Louis Spohr International Young Violin Competition, the Stulberg String International Competition, 1st place in the International Russian Rotary Children’s Music Competition and American Protégé International Competition, among many more. She has performed on the NPR show From the Top, and been a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.             
Jacob van der Sloot, Viola

Jacob started playing violin under the instruction of his father, Michael van der Sloot, when he was 5.  He switched to viola when he was 13 and since then has numerous accomplishments in the classical music scene. Jacob has performed in Carnegie Hall and David Geffen Hall in New York City, Museo Del Violino in Cremona, Bing Concert Hall in Stanford and the Beijing Conservatory Concert Hall, among others.  Recent awards include 1st prize at the Louis Sherman Concerto Competition and 2nd prize at the NAC National Bursary Competition.  Aside from solo playing, Jacob is extremely passionate about chamber music.  
Ayoun “Alexandra” Kim, cello
Ayoun “Alexandra” Kim began her study of cello at age six in South Korea. She won competitions in Korea such as The National Arts competitionand the Seoul Korea Soloist Orchestra National Concerto Competition. In the United states, she has won, placed, and was a finalist of competitions such as Walgreens National Concerto Competition, DePaul National Concerto Competition, Society of American Musicians Competition, Ars Viva Concerto Competition, and the National Youngarts Foundation. Ayoun has performed Alice Tully Hall, and Juilliard’s Paul Hall, Morse Hall, and Wilson Theater, Nichols Concert Hall, Sheely Center for the Performing Arts, North Shore Center For The Performing Arts, and Bennett Gordon Hall in Ravinia
