DESCRIPTION:Spanish Cinema Now+ is a new initiative organized by SPAIN arts & culture, in collaboration with Fundación Academia de Cine, foundation of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences (Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España), to complement the original program of Spanish Cinema Now and give DC audiences the opportunity to enjoy U.S. and DC premieres of Spanish cinema all year round.

A film of intertwining stories about five people who work and live on the outskirts of Barcelona. Iurie is a Moldavian wrestler who works on the harvest with Raül, a farmer that tries to grow organic food. Maria, an almost 90-year-old farmer, has to leave the country house where she has always lived to join a retirement home. Rose is a nurse from the Philippines who just arrived in the country and takes care of Maria. And Maribel is a prostitute that is losing clients.
Important Information:

A reservation on Eventbrite is mandatory, printed tickets are not required.
Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Doors open 20 minutes before posted showtime.
Ticket holders should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start to guarantee seats.
No Late Seating, ticket holders may not be allowed to enter 20 minutes after posted showtime.

How to get there: The best way to arrive is by public transportation. The closest Metro station is Columbia Heights (Green and Yellow line). Limited metered and two-hour zoned parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods. Public parking garage is available at DC USA Shopping Mall (Columbia Heights Metro Station).
