Joshua Yaffa is a journalist based in Moscow, where he is a correspondent for The New Yorker. He also has written on Russia and the former Soviet Union for The New York Times, The Economist, National Geographic, Foreign Affairs, The New Republic, Bloomberg Businessweek, and others. His reporting in Russia has been supported by fellowships at New America and The American Academy in Berlin.
