In this course, learners will improve their English speaking and listening skills.  Instruction, board game sessions, and self-study, are all important parts of this course.  During instruction, learners will practice speaking and listening skills with useful vocabulary and grammar. During board games, learners will use English to play with native speakers and other learners. Through self-study, learners will have additional opportunities to develop all skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing). Cultural themes will be included throughout the course.
Audience
This course is for adult English learners in one of these groups: 


2-3 years of recent study on a part-time schedule


1-2 years of recent full-time study or immersion.  


Learners with great reading/writing skills, but lower speaking and listening skills.


Learners at a high level in the past, but currently out of practice. 


Goal
Learners will play and enjoy a variety of board games using improved levels of spoken English. Detailed goals and course plan are here.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, this is a course for adults only (18+)
What should I bring to the event?
Notebook, pencil, smartphone & headphones (optional), computer (optional)
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is free.  Nearest bus stop is about 1/4 mile away (243, 244, 930 lines).
Under what circumstances could cancellations occur?  How will you handle that? 
- If fewer than 6 people register, the course will be delayed or cancelled.  In case of delay, all participants have an option for a full refund.  In case of cancellation, all participants will receive a full refund.  
- If any individual sessions are rescheduled by us for illness, emergency, etc., we will arrange an appropriate make-up date. There will be no partial refunds for rescheduled sessions.
