SUMMARY:The Space Suit Experience @ Final Frontier Design, NASA Space Suit Maker
DESCRIPTION:Armstrong, and make that childhood dream of gearing up finally come true.
Join New York Adventure Club for the official Space Suit Experience at Final Frontier Design, a private design studio designing flight-ready space suits for space access providers, from NASA to commercial spaceflight startups.
Led by the company’s founders, this one-of-a-kind experience, not offered anywhere else in the United States, will include:

The history and story behind the NYC-based spacesuit developer, from beginning as an unlikely collaboration between a Russian engineer and Broadway costume designer, to securing contracts to create equipment for NASA
A tour of the studio where the world’s most advanced space suits are being created
A presentation on how space suits are made, from design to production
A chance to try out the latest prototype gloves in a negative pressure glove box
The incredibly rare opportunity to suit up inside a pressurized Intravehicular Activity (IVA) spacesuit
A chance to participate in a series of astronaut-oriented tasks that will test your mobility and tactility
A seriously unique photo opportunity to wear your spacesuit up on the roof, with the NYC skyline in the background

Sure, you could get a similar experience by dropping $250k to reserve a seat on one of the first space tourist flights, or flying to Moscow and paying thousands of dollars to wear an outdated space suit — but why not instead don one of the world's most advanced spacesuits for a fraction of the cost, right here in Brooklyn?

See you there!
