SUMMARY:Art of the Russian Revolution and Beyond
DESCRIPTION: Some artists embraced avant-garde innovations, while others preferred more traditional styles and imagery. This talk will survey the key historical arguments for and against each style, and in so doing we will understand the eventual emergence of the official Soviet style, known as Socialist Realist.
