About Tom Parmeson Wines
I knew I wanted to become a winemaker, to work outside, and to embrace the lifestyle that wine
country offers. My current job just wasn’t fulfilling. I wanted more. I became obsessed with what I
could do to turn this dream into a reality. I went home to Houston and started researching and
taking classes. Still fully employed, I had to use all of my vacation days to work harvests in
California, absorbing as much as I could. This was by far the hardest I had worked, and the
happiest I had been in years. I had been truly bitten by the winemaking bug.

By 2013 I’d been through five harvests and knew if I wanted to be in this industry it was going to
take commitment. So I left my job and moved my wife Katie and our three kids out to California to
embark on a bold brand new adventure.
