SUMMARY:NYC SWIM CLINIC presented by City Coach
DESCRIPTION:improve their technique, comfort, and speed in the water. We will focus on freestyle form and triathlon-specific skills. If you're training for Sprint, Olympic, 70.3, or Ironman Distance, these lessons will help you exit the water faster, and ready for the ride and run to follow. Whether your goal is to finish your first race, or stand on the top step of the podium, we can help you get there.
Please Note: This is NOT designed as a "Learn to Swim" class. It is intended for those who are capable of swimming non-stop for at least 250 yards at a time. 

HEAD COACH
Boris Talan is known as the premier NYC and Hamptons private swim coach. He has over thirty years swim coaching experience, with a Masters Degree in bio-mechanical motion. He has taken his students from their first swim all the way to national competitions and world championships in both swimming and triathlon. 
He personally has fifteen years of competitive swimming experience, which includes setting world records as a member of the Russian National Team for five years as the team captain taking him all the way to the Olympic trials. He has successfully crossed the English Channel (England to France), the Straight of Gibraltar (Europe to Africa) and the Swim around Manhattan, of which he was the course record holder. In addition, he is an experienced triathlete, competing in all distances of triathlon, including Ironman New Zealand and Ironman Brazil. He also has competed in special events such as the New York Marathon and the San Francisco Alcatraz Aquathon Challenge. From 1993-2000 he was one of the top ten in the All American Masters Swim rankings.
He most recently was the guest speaker at the Russian National Swim conference and is working on a book on teaching children how to swim. He has been featured in Vogue and Hamptons magazines. He is the guest swim coach at the prestigious Amanyara resort in Turks and Caicos and holds swim coaching clinics at the JCC in Manhattan. CPR and WSI certified.
