Michalis Psalidopoulos is a professor of the history of economic thought in the Department of Economics, University of Athens, and, since June 2015, Alternate Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund, Washington D. C. He was a Fulbright fellow at Duke, a Stanley J. Seeger fel­low at Princeton, a visiting research professor at King's College, London, and Constantine G. Karamanlis Professor at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. His research focuses on national traditions in the history of economics and the relation between economic thought and economic policy. His latest books are: The German Historical School and European Economic Thought, London 2016 (Routledge), The History of the Bank of Greece, 1928-2008 (Athens, 2014) (in Greek). He has also published articles in His­tory of Political Economy, The European Journal for the History of Economic Thought and History of Economic Ideas.
