SUMMARY:HLJ Symposium: Cybersecurity, Fake News & Policy
DESCRIPTION:media, the impact it has on the U.S. political process, the 2016 Russia hacking and ongoing investigation, artificial intelligence in journalism, and First Amendment protections.
The event will take place at Hastings in the Alumni Reception Center located at 200 McAllister Street, San Francisco, CA 94102.  The Symposium will feature two panels and a keynote speaker.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as MCLE credit for practicing attorneys.  The event is open to the public and free to attend.

This panel wil discuss tech's impact in the world of fake news, covering the spread of fake news on social media, Facebook's initiative to stop fake news, possible AI solutions, and 1st Amendment implications involved in technology solutions used to curb fake news.
