DESCRIPTION:The craft cocktail bar themed for our 50th state boasts one of the cities best vodka lists with craft cocktails, small bites and some of the best-priced caviar in the city.  The grand opening weeks will start on Thursday, March 8th at 4 pm and continue through until Sunday. "I wanted to create a fun bar with great cocktails, exceptional food, and a cool atmosphere," said Yulia Potapova, owner of Bar Alaska.  "We designed the bar around an Alaska theme with the Northern Lights being featured as our color palate."Bar Alaska's craft cocktail menu features a list of drinks that are sure to please all cocktail enthusiasts.  The cocktails are aptly named, such as the Seward Folly, which combines; Lagavulin, pear compote, vermouth, cherry and smoked bitters to create a sweet and savory drink that is sure to astound and please.  The menu is equally as incredible, servings up bites such as Alaskan King Crab tacos and caviar served with crepes.
For our opening weekend, we are offering up some great specials.  Russian Osetra Caviar for $30, $10 Martini Imperial, in addition to our normal happy hour specials; which are $5 Draft Beer, $5 Vodka Shots, $10 Drink of the Day, $10 Oyster shooters (set of 3) and $8 Grilled Cheese Bites, will be served all night long," said Potapova.
