ITINERARY*:
Monday, March 19, 2018:12:00 pm Depart from the Park & Ride Commuter parking lot on Oxon HillRoad near the Tanger Outlets, 6700 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill,Maryland (parking is at your own risk!) Come to the rear of the parking lot.12:15 pm CAAPA Welcome and Itinerary orientation.12:30 pm Light snacks on bus.2:00 pm Rest stop @ Delaware House.4:30 pm Informal en route driving tour* of New York City and Black classicalmusic history including sites such as Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall and more.  “Carnegie Hall” briefing will also be included. En route driving tour of NYC’s Music District.
5:00 pm  FREE Time to enjoy dinner. You will be dropped off at Carnegie Hall. Reservations recommended for nearby restaurants:

The Café is easily accessible from the Parquet level of Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. From Ella Fitzgerald’s eyeglasses to Benny Goodman’s clarinet, more than 400 items are on display in the Rose Museum as part of The History of Carnegie Hall, a comprehensive exhibit that looks back on the outstanding music and events since the Hall’s opening in 1891. Located on the second floor of Carnegie Hall, the Rose Museum is free to the public and open daily,  11  AM–4:30  PM.  It  is  also  accessible  before  concerts  and  during intermissions   of   events   in   Stern   Auditorium   /   Perelman   Stage. Therefore, you may want to gauge yourself and your dining experience if you wish
7:30 pm Return to Carnegie Hall to pick up your tickets that YOU MUST ORDER YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!

ATTIRE:Carnegie Hall has no specific dress code, so use your judgment. Since this is a special occasion for the HSC, you may wish to dress up a little bit.  Remember weekdays are always more casual and you want to be comfortable for the bus ride.  Carnegie Hall also offers a coat check with a $2 per item charge.

* Take I-295 south* Take Route 210 ramp at Exit 1A* Stay in left lane to Tanger Blvd* Make left and then right into park & ride commuter parking lot. GO TO THE RIGHT REAR OF THE PARKING LOT! FROM MARYLAND* Merge onto I-495 / I-95 Capital Beltway Inner Loop* Stay in the right lanes in order to follow the ‘Local Lanes’* Take Exit 3 to Bald Eagle Rd.* Follow Bald Eagle Rd to Oxon Hill Rd.* Make right onto Route 414 Oxon Hill Rd. Proceed to Commuter parking Lot. GO TO THE RIGHT REAR OF THE PARKING LOT! FROM SOUTHERN MARYLAND* Take Route 210 N to Oxon Hill Rd Exit Route 414* Make a left on Oxon Hill Rd (Route 414 south)* Proceed to Commuter parking Lot. GO TO THE RIGHT REAR OF THE PARKING LOT! FROM VIRGINIA* Merge onto I-495 / I-95 Capital Beltway – Outer Loop* As you are approaching the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, stay in the right hand lanes in order to take the ‘Local Lanes’* Cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge* Take Exit 3A to Tanger Blvd* Make left at Oxon Hill Rd. and a right into the commuter parking lot.  GO TO THE RIGHT REAR OF THE PARKING LOT!
