DESCRIPTION:RACC’s film festivals are the only international forums representing Russian immigrant filmmakers in the United States and around the world, given the experience of immigration and the search for a new cultural identity, while celebrating their artistic achievements in film media.

2017 Art Film Festival and Diaspora Film Festival created in the spirit of the Centennial of the Suffragist Movement in the U.S., the Russian Revolutions, the historical Balfour Declaration, and the 50th anniversary of the 6-Day War and its impact on the Jewish emigration from the former Soviet Union. The Seventh Diaspora Film Festival explores the turmoil of the 20th century, the Holocaust, the fate of the artist under dictatorship, various faces of immigration, including a spy thriller and traumatic experiences of children. We would like to see several generations of viewers, including teenagers, to share their adaptation stories and students to learn more about the history of their people.

There are no admission fees. Everybody is welcome!
