Sunrise hike to Mt Monadnock

In return you get a magical experience of greeting a new day from a mountain top. HIKE DETAILS.Loop of about 5 miles. 1800 ft elevation gain. Rocky and steep, marked 'hard' on alltrails. Pace: medium.You have to be able to keep up with the group without holding it back. We will hike up in the dark via White Dot trail and stay at the summit watching (hopefully) beautiful sky colors. After the sunrise we will return via a different route. WHAT TO BRING.10 essentials. Hiking boots/shoes, trekking poles, warm clothes for the summit. Headlamp/flashlight. Water, snacks/breakfast, coffee. I am staying Friday night at Gilson Pond campground. You can join me there or meet at the trailhead.
