Art Film Festival
Event Details
RACC's Art Film Festival as always is a curated event. This year 2017, in the spirit of the Centennial of the Suffragist Movement in the U.S., the Russian Revolutions, and the historical Balfour Declaration, the Festival's program explores the turmoil of the 20th century and is dedicated to women's role in society, history and art. The program is unique and amazing, and among the US premieres includes an Israeli film about the matriarch of Hebrew poetry - Ms Bluwstein - Rachel the Poetess, whose portrait will soon appear on a 20 shekels banknote; a feature documentary about the Russian Avant-garde art by highly esteemed film director Margy Kinmonth, and the first historical-biographical feature film, that focuses on the tragic fate of the poet Marina Tsvetaeva, one of the greatest poets of the 20th century.
