65% of people who visit Israel feel a spiritual connection while they are there. More than 50% return, many more than once. This country (the size of the state of New Jersey) has been in the middle of world controversy throughout it modern existence. A center of three religions, a midway between Europe, Asia and Africa and a pivotal point of many political debates, everything about Israel from its birth to agriculture is a miracle.

However, you probably know all this… here are some things you might not have known:

Israelis hold more patents per person than citizens of any other nation
Israel's $100 billion economy is larger than all of its immediate neighbors combined.
Israel has the third largest number of companies trading on Wall street (after USA and Canada) and is one of the most secure countries in the world with which to do business. English is the official business language.
Israel has the fourth largest air force in the world (after the US, Russia and China).
Israel produces 93% of its own food requirements.
Albert Einstein was offered the Presidency of Israel in 1952 and declined.
During the 1991 Gulf War, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra played a concert wearing gas masks as scud missiles fired by Saddam fell on Tel Aviv
Natalie Portman was born in Israel
Since the USSR borders opened Israel has absorbed 1.6 million Russian-speaking immigrants (20% of its population)
