Pregnancy and New Moms Support Group

Gestalt psychotherapist and a mother herself. This group is free and will meet on the 1st Friday of the month from 11am to 12:30pm.
Talk openly in a safe confidential environment about issues such as body image and its changes, mindful parenting, your relationship with your partner, sleep, diet, labor concerns, hormonal shifts, breastfeeding issues, sexuality during pregnancy and after, baby blues and anxiety.
The aim of the group is to help new mothers not to feel alone while guiding and empowering them as they embark on a new crucial chapter of their life. Babies welcome!
Kasyan is a licensed psychoanalyst and a certified Gestalt psychotherapist. She uses presence-based relational and experiential approach in her work. She has a private psychotherapy practice in Flatiron district in Manhattan where she sees adults, couples and teens who experience anxiety, depression, substance dependency, work and relationship issues. Svetlana specializes in working with women on perinatal issues such as difficulty to conceive and miscarriage, pregnancy and new motherhood, postpartum depression and anxiety. Svetlana holds a Master degree from Long Island University and a post-graduate degree from Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy. She speaks fluent Russian and Ukrainian, and some French. Svetlana lives with her family in East Village.
