A MUSICAL COLLABORATION: SINGER LYUDMILA AND PIANIST SVETLANA

The program will feature ancient Russian romances, lyrical songs, serenades in Italian, psalms, songs in English and Hebrew performed by Lyudmila.  Svetlana will perform classical works by famous composers of the 19th and 20th centuries.
 
Lyudmila Krivorutskaya is a singer and a poet.  She graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Culture, Department of Theory and History of Music (Russia). She had choral experience, sang in the chorus of "Academic Capell" (Russia). In New York she performed in the Jewish ensemble and took an active part in the Musical Evening of the Literature and Musical Society named after A. Pushkin.  Currently Lyudmila is a solist in the "Oscar" concert club (45 East 33 Str., New York, NY). In addition, she staged at the Metropolitan Opera, led by American singer, musicologist and pedagogue Jane Marsh, as well as master class American singer Barbara Miller. Lyudmila is an author of three books of poems and short stories.; and a composer of three lyrical songs.
Svetlana Levina is a classical pianist and accompanist, performing in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island. Special emphasis on sight reading and accompaniment.  Piano teacher with 30 years of experience in piano mastery in Lincoln Center, Baruch Performing Arts Center, NYC. Her studends passed tests at prestigious music schools like Juilliard and Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.  Also, some of her students perform at the Carnegie Hall. 
Svetlana holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees from  the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, formerly Riga State Conservatory.
