" Critiqued as "a cellist of power and grace" (The Guardian), cellist Seth Parker Woods has established a diverse career that straddled the worlds of classical, contemporary, electronics and performance art. He is joined by Chicago-based harpsichordist and pianist, Andrew Rosenblum, a regular fixture with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Music of the Baroque Chorus, Haymarket Opera, and the Civic Orchestra. The duo performs a concert of music by Olivier Messiaen (who developed a practice of transcribing birdsong for instruments), Robert Schumann, Mendelssohn, and Russian composer Galina Ivanovna Ustvolskaya.
