The Festival of Russian Music

Featuring a fascinating duo of violinist Daniel Kurganov and pianist Constantine Finehouse, great jazz and classical pianist Maxim Lubarsky, singer Olga Lisovskaya and  pianist Boris Fogel, who has accompanied most famous Russian and Soviet singers,  this concert is going to be a great journey through Russian musical history. The performance will also include some very musically talented Tufts students and visiting scholars,
Beginning with the Russian classical music and moving through jazz, bel canto opera aria, Russian and Gypsy romances and Soviet popular songs, the program culminates with visiting Ukrainian folk traditions and finally ends with one of the most famous American songs, composed by a Ukrainian/Jewish/Soviet immigrant in the USA, completing this musical and cultural voyage into Russian music.
The event is free and open to children. Everyone is welcome.
