Teacher Workshop

David Gonzalez, a featured performer at the National Storytelling Festival and an award-winning storyteller, musician, poet, and playwright, comes to the Zimmerli to pass along his recipe for satisfying storytelling. His experiential “playshop” introduces the elements of rhythm, rhyme and repetition as essential ingredients for exciting and engaging storytelling. Each of these elements will be presented through fun exercises and games so participants can easily comprehend their role in storytelling. This workshop is presented in conjunction with the exhibition “Stories of Wonder: Children’s Tales from Around the World,” and focuses on folk stories and fairy tales. Light dinner is included.
