A fellow of the Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA) in Turkey from 2007 to 2009, Hansen has since been published in Vogue, The New York Times Magazine and Foreign Policy. ICWA interim Executive Director Gregory Feifer will chat with her about her book and experiences during a reception co-sponsored by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting. An ICWA fellow in Russia in 2000-2002, Feifer has written several books—most recently Russians: The People behind the Power.
