Come out to and enjoy a South African wine tasting and Braai! Five South African Winemakers will be on hand to walk you through the wines and show off their braaing skills. Taste 20+ wines from Raats Family Vineyards, B Vintners, Glenelly, Buitenverwachting & DeMorgenzon. Enjoy authentic South African fare such as Biltong, Droewors, Boerewors (all provided by Ayoba-Yo who will be on hand sampling!) and our famous Braaibroodjie!
For those who may not know, the earliest archaeological evidence places the first barbecue in a cave in South Africa over 400,000 years ago, and the word Braai means to barbeque or grill in Afrikaans. There is no doubt that South African wines have been experiencing a recent renaissance, with the next generation taking over at many historic estates, new rising stars, and Old World winemakers heading south to discover the diverse terroirs and microclimates.
