100% of the proceeds of the event will go to Minds Matter San Francisco. Since 2010, Minds Matter San Francisco has dedicated itself to the mission of empowering low-income, high-achieving high school students by giving them the support and mentorship they need to gain acceptance into colleges that will allow them to pursue their dream. MMSF started with 11 students and 20 mentors, and has since expanded to over 80 students and 250+ volunteers. Our mentors, tutors, and executive team are all dedicated to our mission of transforming the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success.

The bar will open at 5:00pm, followed by the concert starting at 7:00pm. The mother and son piano duo will perform the complete two piano works by Sergei Rachmaninoff, the crown jewel of the duo literature. The wickedly challenging program traverses the composer's entire life. The first half begins with Russian Rhapsody, cheeky variations of a folk theme written when Rachmaninoff attended conservatory, followed by the Symphonic Dances, Rachmaninoff's final work and a triumph of conservative romanticism.
