The film starts the voices of Vladimir Koshevoy, Slava Polunin, Natalya Fisson, Anvar Libabov, Anna Artamonova, Alexey Petrenko, Pavel Lyubimtsev and Aleksandr Shirvindt.
It took 17 years to make this stop motion-animated feature film. The film used puppet animation exclusively and avoided using computer animation for special effects.
