NYC - The Art of Film Acting with NYC Acting Coach John Pallotta

Televised series for Cable TV. The TV series will target different topics on acting cinematic stage presence and actor limitations. Students work with a different scene, shooting style, and partner each week, using various camera angles (over the shoulder, documentary style, closeups, two shots), learning to take adjustments "on the fly" with line changes and improvisations, making sure to hit their marks—all while developing their concentration to craft nuanced performances. To better replicate a true on-set experience, students work off-book and do not rehearse with their scene partner before class, but instead prepare on their own as they would before a real shoot.
John Pallotta actors are given opportunities they won’t find in any other studio, including intensive camera work and on-set, on-location study, where students get a chance to explore all facets of film work, from lighting, sound, location scouting and directing to working with each other on camera on a professional set. You put all this together and the result, we’ve found, our actors coming out of our studio more prepared for not just the business, but life in general.
