The 7th Annual Latin American, Latinx and Iberian Film Festival: Women's Voices, organized by the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese will celebrate women filmmakers. The four-day festival will feature screenings of ten films (listed below) from directors from countries including Chile, Mexico, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Spain and the United States. The screenings will take place at various venues on the UCLA campus such as the James Bridge Theater and the Charles E. Young Research Library Presentation Room. All screenings will be followed by a Q&A session with the film’s directors as well as professors from various departments on campus and will also include a light reception. The opening night will include a screening of “Real Women Have Curves” (United States, 2002), followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, Patricia Cardoso at the James Bridge Theater and the closing night will include a screening of “As boas maneiras” (Brazil 2018), directed by Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra, and will be followed by a Q&A with Juliana Rojas. The  7th Annual Latin American, Latinx and Iberian Film Festival: Women's Voices is organized and presented by the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese and sponsored by various units on campus, including the Center for Global Management, Latin American Institute, Center for Southern Cone Studies, Program for Caribbean Studies, Department of Gender Studies and the LGBTQ Studies Program, among others.The screenings are free and open to the public. For more details on the dates and topics for the screenings, and to register, please visit>> hyperlink to https://www.spanportfilmfest.com/
