Amb. William J. Burns: American Leadership Through Diplomacy

during events that have shaped the America we have today—Cold War, 9/11, war in Iraq, and nuclear talks with Iran.
Ambassador Burns is the president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, following a diplomatic career of more than three decades. He has served as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, the U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and the U.S. Ambassador to Jordan – among many other posts in the Foreign Service. In 2013, Foreign Policy magazine honored him as “Diplomat of the Year.”

This event is free and open to UChicago students, faculty, staff and the public. If you cannot attend, please cancel your ticket order on Eventbrite so others may register.
Registration is required. Tickets are general admission and registration does not guarantee a seat.
