Georgy will introduce us his CELLO DRIVE show. The program that he performed worldwide at the major concert halls will be brought this time at the intimate atmosphere of Mari Vanna.
The musical project CELLO DRIVE is an expression of uniqueness and multiculturalism. Impressive stories, breathtaking music and a little bit of magic makes the sensational sound of the cello rock out!
Especially for Georgy's show, the famous Russian Restaurant Mari Vanna in DowntownDC will runn Happy Hour for the time of show 6-8 PM

Georgy Gusev is a graduate of the famed Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He performs at major music festivals and events worldwide with other musicians, singers, dancers, and performers including but not limited to Yo-Yo Ma, Natalia Gutman, Giovanni Sollima, Enrico Dindo, Rocco Filippini, Monika Leskovar, Andrey Gavrilov, Boris Andrianov, Eliso Virsaladze, Pavel Vernikov, Sonig Tchakerian, Elsa Lila, Dilnaz Akhmadieva.
He also worked with several multi-Grammy Award winning composers, producers and performers such as Randy Jackson, Walter Afanasieff, Kenny G, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Mark Mancina.
COMPOSER
Georgy began his career with a series of compositions for solo cello entitled, Traveler's Diary that has been incorporated onto the music track for various shows produced by Russian television and Italian RAI as well as several films. His first solo project as a cellist and composer is the album Cello Drive, sponsored by Thomastik-Infeld Vienna and released by the UK label North2North in July 2016.

Georgy’s Carnegie Hall debut in NYC as a cellist and composer took place on February 2, 2018.
His new cycle of songs for lyric soprano and cello will be premiered at Carnegie Hall on May 30th of 2019.
EDUCATOR
Georgy has taught in Gnessin Music School of Moscow (Russia), Accademia Praeneste of Rome (Italy) and Russian Music School in Los Angeles (USA)
Among his students there are prize winning young cellists such as: Grigory Filipchenko, Gianluca Montarulli, Francesca Della Vista, Antonio Aprile, Antonietta Pilloli, Niccolò Citrani, Ivana Querques, Akim Korkin, Anna Skladannaya, Tikhon Evlanov.
Alongside his concert life he is giving cello masterclasses worldwide.
PUBLIC FIGURE
In 2011 in Russia, Georgy founded GOSH Projects - a Creative Laboratory, committed to supporting new projects of young and extraordinarily talented artists. He is also a founder and Artistic Director of the International Music Festival Masters of Music held annually in Moscow since 2013.
