Watch Sunset and Roast Some S'Mores Over a Beach Bonfire!

off mid-August weekend with a sunset bonfire, surrounded by our dear friends at the Golden Gardens, one of some 148 iconic Seattle beaches :) There's a bit of everything there - beaches, hiking trails, grass fields, playgrounds, and stunning sunset views of the Olympic Mountains. Me and my dear friend Bonnie will be your two epic organizers for this event. We will arrive at the beach a little before 4:00pm to secure us a fire pit as soon as it becomes available. Taking to consideration number of things we decided to start the event later, at 5:30pm. That said you are welcome to come earlier (if you wish) and even generously offer your help setting things up :) Look for a bunch of colorful balloons to find us, I will also update our location on the app.. We are not planning any massive organized cooking and definitely not collecting any fees. Feel free to bring your own dinner, roast some hotdogs or s’mores, whatever you like and don’t forget water or your favorite drinks (read the policy regarding alcohol). You might want to bring for yourself a beach chair or a blanket or something else to sit on. While food is optional you are expected, however, to bring with you some wood for the bonfire. The wood you find at most of the local supermarkets or other kind of environmentally clean wood will do just fine. Keep in mind we are only allowed to burn clean (natural, bare, dry cord-wood) wood and douse our fire completely before leaving. Our local beach fire rules are outlined in the link below. Dogs (on the leash) are welcome as well, there is no limit on the beach! This event will be cross-posted among other meetup groups. In the event of rain we will likely organize an indoor version, or “plan B” for our legendary gathering. I just found that the day of our event is full of National Celebrations! How to find us: Let's tentatively set up to meet in front of the bath house. I also plan to set a bunch of colorful air balloons and will let you know the colors or better of post its picture the morning of the event.
