Album Release Party & Concert: Alexey Peshkovsky & Guillermo Vaisman

Alexey Peshkovsky is a singer-songwriter who combines Russian, Argentinean and North American styles in his music. While living in Cordoba, Argentina, Alexey became profoundly inspired by the culture, tango music and dancing. In his original compositions and translations, Alexey frequently relies on what he believes to be an "emotional coincidence" between Russian and Argentinean cultures. Guillermo Vaisman was born in the Argentinian province of Entre Rios, where he studied the accordion from an early age. He pursued his musical education as an instrumentalist (accordion, guitar and piano) in Buenos Aires, and also as a choral conductor at the Conservatory in Buenos Aires. He specialized in the folk music of Argentina and tango. In New York, where he lives, he plays tangos throughout the New York area, and is a regular guest at the Summer Tango Festival in Central Park in New York City.
